This critical internal upgrade provides the tactile feedback and positive engagement required for high-stress racing environments. The gain that matters most is on downshifts. A firmer detent moves the shift drum into position decisively instead of hesitating, so the gear engages sooner — which means the clutch spends measurably less time slipping on the way into a corner. Less slip is less heat, less wear, and a rear wheel that settles earlier so you can get back to the throttle. * Crisper Shifting: Increases the force required to move the shift drum, so each gear clicks into place with authority. * Shorter Clutch Slip On Downshifts: Faster, more positive engagement means less time slipping the clutch into a corner. * Racing Reliability: Stops the transmission popping out of gear under heavy acceleration or aggressive downshifting. * Cooler, Longer-Lived Clutch: Less slip time is less heat going into the plates over a race distance. The result is missed shifts, false neutrals and the transmission jumping out of gear at exactly the wrong moment — hard on your lap time, and hard on the gearbox itself. Our spring is 15% stiffer than the OEM unit, wound from spring steel.
