Quick Action Throttle Kits
A quick action throttle — also called a quick-turn throttle — is the single highest-impact control upgrade you can make to a track bike. It cuts the wrist rotation needed to go from closed to wide open, so you reach full throttle sooner on corner exit and spend less time rolling on. Every Pointer Racing kit is a direct, no-cut bolt-on that ships with the throttle tube, interchangeable cams and cabling needed to fit it in an afternoon.
The cam is what you actually tune. Ours ship with five: a 35mm reel for the slowest rate and longest pull, a 40mm standard quarter-turn baseline, 45mm and 50mm for progressively faster rates, and a 47.5mm progressive cam whose elliptical first section softens the initial opening so you can feed power in smoothly on corner exit. Swapping one takes minutes and completely changes how the bike picks up drive.

Our Quick Action Throttle Kit is essential for competitive starts and powering out of tight corners. Sometimes called a quick-turn throttle, this kit is the fastest way to sharpen how your R3 picks up drive. * Reduced Rotation: Decreases the degree of twist required to hit the throttle stop. * Customizable Feel: Includes multiple cams to adjust the throttle progression to your riding style. * Smooth Operation: Features a friction-reducing sleeve for consistent, "butter-smooth" throttle response. Choose Your Throttle Rate Every kit is supplied with five interchangeable cams, so you can tune the throttle rate to the track, the conditions and your own wrist. Swapping a cam takes minutes and completely changes how the bike picks up drive: * 35mm reel — approx. 100° of twist. The slowest rate and longest pull: maximum control for wet sessions, low-grip surfaces or riders building confidence on the throttle. * 40mm reel — approx. 90° of twist.
