Return and Refund
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made at https://pointerracing.com.au/.
1. General
- We offer refunds, repairs, and replacements in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and the terms in this policy.
- These benefits may apply in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Please read this policy before purchasing so you understand your rights if you are not satisfied with your order.
2. Australian Consumer Law
- Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
- For major failures with a service, you are entitled to cancel the service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion or compensation for its reduced value.
- For major failures with goods, you are entitled to choose a refund or replacement. For non‑major failures, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If it is not, you are entitled to a refund and to cancel the service contract with a refund of any unused portion.
- You may be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from a failure in goods or services.
- If there is an inconsistency between this policy and the Australian Consumer Law, the Australian Consumer Law will prevail.

3. Cancellation and Change of Mind
If you change your mind, we may offer a refund or exchange at our discretion, provided that:
- You notify us within 7 days of receipt.
- Services have not already been performed.
- Products are unused, in new condition, and undamaged with original tags.
- Products are returned with the original receipt.
- Electrical goods, helmets, gloves, and boots are non‑returnable or exchangeable unless required by law.
- Special orders (for example, exhaust, parts) and back orders are not cancellable unless required by law.
- The purchaser is liable for freight and insurance. For non‑faulty returns, a 15% restocking, processing, and inspection fee may apply to the product value.
4. Products Damaged During Delivery
- Please contact us as soon as possible.
- Damaged products must be returned in the condition received with all packaging and items.
- We will arrange to repair or collect the damaged product and replace it with an equivalent product, or refund it, provided you contact us within 7 days of receiving the product.
5. Exceptions
- We may refuse a repair, replacement, or refund if the product was misused.
- You knew or were made aware of the problem before purchase.
- You requested a service or alteration against our advice or without clear requirements.
- Other exceptions apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Shipping Costs for Returns
- If a product fails to meet a Consumer Guarantee, we will bear the cost of returning the product and shipping any replacement.
- If the product can easily be returned, you are responsible for arranging return. If eligible, we will reimburse reasonable postage, shipping, or transportation costs.
- If the product is too large, heavy, or difficult to return, we will organize collection at our cost if eligible.
- If we pay for inspection or return and the product is not eligible, you must cover those costs.
7. Response Time
We aim to process requests for repairs, replacements, or refunds within 5 days of receipt.
